Privacy Policy
Last updated 17 October 2026
SplatCast is made by SplatCast, LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the SplatCast app and splatcast.com. Questions: will@splatcast.com.
Your photos and scenes stay on your device
SplatCast trains and displays 3D scenes on your own Mac or iPad. The photos, videos and scenes you import, and the scenes you train, are processed and stored on your device. We do not upload them, and we cannot see them.
What we collect
- Nothing, if you don't create an account. The app has no advertising, tracking or analytics.
- If you create an account (optional, used to share a subscription between the app and splatcast.com): your email address, an account identifier, the plan you have and the identifiers of your purchases from Apple or Stripe. If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we receive Apple's private relay address instead.
- Purchases. Payments are handled by Apple (App Store) or Stripe (splatcast.com). We never receive your card details. We receive confirmation of what you bought and when it renews.
- Support. If you email us, we keep the conversation to help you.
Downloads from Hugging Face
Some sample scenes and their photos are downloaded from SplatCast's public datasets on Hugging Face when you open them. Hugging Face receives the request, including your IP address, as any website would. We receive nothing from these downloads.
How we use it
Only to provide your account and plan, process purchases and refunds, answer support, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
Who processes it for us
Apple (App Store purchases and Sign in with Apple), Stripe (payments on splatcast.com), our account and database host, our email provider (Google Workspace) and Cloudflare (website hosting). Each handles data only to provide its service to us.
How long we keep it
Account data stays while your account exists. When you delete your account, in the app or by emailing us, we delete it within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax and accounting.
Your choices and rights
You can use SplatCast without an account. You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data at any time by emailing us. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act) you may have further rights, which we honour.
Cookies
splatcast.com sets no tracking cookies. Signing in sets a cookie that keeps you signed in. Stripe's checkout pages set their own cookies to process payments securely.
Children
SplatCast is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We will post changes here and update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app or by email.
